Bead Haven is a retail bead store offering the local community a place to purchase beads and supplies, take bead classes, and to find inspiration, friendship and an outlet to express their creativity. We offer classes in various beading styles for beginners to experienced beaders.  Other classes include fiber, mixed media, home décor, wire work, soldering, and metal clay and fused glass bead making and host national bead artists for week-end workshops that draw “beaders” from across the country. People who have never made jewelry will be able to make their own in less than an hour. We sell all beading supplies and a large variety of beads to create beaded jewelry and occasions. We have Swarovski crystals, pearls, semi-precious stones, Czech glass, gold-filled and sterling silver.

Regularly scheduled events, trunk shows, sales, contests, new inventory and more, keep the store fresh and alive. A separate class room area will be large enough to host classes for up to 15 people.  This space will also be used to host bead parties for birthdays, scouts, weddings, mother’s day out, girl’s night out and any other occasion where a group of people want to “play with beads” .

They support local bead artists by regularly featuring their beads for sale.  Bead Haven also supports the Bead Society of Southeastern Virginia which Joanne is an active member.  

Bead Haven's product line includes beads from around the world in a variety of materials,  handmade artist beads, vintage beads, pearls, sterling silver and gold filled beads, chain and wire, a large selection of Swarovski crystal beads, charms, books, magazines, tools, supplies, kits, handmade bead jewelry, gifts, and art from local artists.  Bead Haven will offer beaded jewelry design and repair services.   Women can have custom made jewelry for their just purchased outfits, for their wedding party or for a special gift. An exclusive line of high quality semi-precious and 14K gold beads, findings and jewelry will be added to our existing inventory. A “gallery area” will showcase the jewelry, local art and gifts for sale.
