The Peninsula Town Center Community Foundation When you use a meter at Peninsula Town Center, you aren’t just paying to park. You’re helping fund the work of the Peninsula Town Center Community Foundation. That includes efforts like our Change for Charity Meter Program and Peninsula Town Center Community Outreach Programs. Every aspect of the Foundation is a joint partnership with our community and Peninsula Town Center visitors, like you.
Change for Charity Meter Program Six organizations are designated each year to receive proceeds from the parking meters at Peninsula Town Center. The donations from Change for Charity represent 100% of net ticket proceeds and a percentage of meter revenues. The more guests park at Peninsula Town Center metered locations throughout the year, the more charities will earn - so spread the word! When guests feed the meters and pay their tickets, donations on your behalf support local charities. All organizations are evaluated primarily of their efforts to support youth and families on the Peninsula. The Change for Charity Meter Program is one of the most recognizable components of the Peninsula Town Center Community Foundation due to the direct relationship that exists between your parking meter and ticket payments and local charities.
